The four open top rifle magazine pouches each hold two M4/M16 (or similarly sized) magazines. the middle two rifle magazine pouches each have two pistol magazine pouches on the front for a complete of 4 pistol magazine pouches. The pistol magazine pouches also can be wont to carry a flashlight and/or multi-tool. The shoulder straps are padded and have side release buckles within the front and back.
